Don't be surprised in the coming weeks if you see a stealthy-looking vehicle with roof mounted cameras traveling the roads in Yuma County. The vehicles will be photographing properties as part of a data collection process associated with property records.
Today, Yuma County administrator Robert Pickels, announced the completion of Yuma County Service Request, a citizen-centric online system designed for residents to submit non-emergency service requests. A lone Eucalyptus tree on county property is set for removal after a long battle with age and fungus. For over a decade, Yuma County has worked hard to save the 60-foot Eucalyptus tree located at the southeast corner of Main Street & Harold C. Giss Parkway in Old Town Yuma. Towering over the Yuma County Adult Probation Building, the county has consulted with arborists and the University of Arizona over the years, yet the tough decision has been made to remove the tree over the weekend of January 17, 2015.
