e.Republic’s Center for Digital Government has announced its 2010 Best of the Web and Digital Government Achievement Awards, tapping state and local governments across the U.S. who are tops in digital delivery. Rising to the top in the Government-to-citizen County government category, Yuma County has been recognized for their delivery of Video-on-Demand and LIVE streaming services at www.yumacountyaz.gov.
Nearly 75 county/city personnel will wrap up Emergency Management training this week at the Yuma County Emergency Operations Center (EOC). The course is designed for individuals who are responsible for developing, staffing managing and operating an EOC. It provides individuals with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage and operate an EOC during crisis situations. The Yuma County EOC is located at the Yuma County Public Works Facility, 4343 S. Ave 5 ½ E.
Yuma County Elections Office will team up with the Arizona Secretary of State to bring residents the latest election results via the internet. The Secretary of State will employ a new Election Night Reporting (ENR) system that will make voting results more user-friendly than ever before.
