The Clerk of the Superior Court is the Official Record-Keeper and Financial Officer for the Superior Court. The Arizona Constitution establishes this office with specific and special duties assigned by the laws of Arizona, the Arizona Supreme Court, and Local Superior Court rules.
- The Clerk's office is the first stop in initiating all Superior Court action in Adoptions, Civil, Criminal, Domestic Relations, Mental Health, Probate, and Tax matters.
- The Clerk must manage all types of records such as Legal Documents, Financial Ledgers, Statistical Reports, Evidence, and must keep a register of each legal document filed.
- The Clerk must plan and organize the careful preservation of Court records for posterity while maximizing what storage space is available.
